Special Needs Tigers Shine on the Courts!

Several Los Banos tiger students assisted a few of the MCOE special need students in a home basketball half-time.
Special Need students had several practices at lunch of drills and scrimmage games to prepare for this exciting moment for the students competing on the tigers basketball court. Taylor Torongo (12) says,”..these students left their heart on the court during the most enthusiastic game of LBHS.”
Bailey Allen (12), Taylor Torongo, and Erika Gutirrez (11) all helped coach, motivate, and inspire these students in this basketball game. Starting off with some basketball shots and ending with high-fives, cheering crowds, and bright smiles on the faces of these students, our special need class had the time of their life.
“It put a warmth in my heart and a smile on my face seeing these top athletes having the drive to understand the game, along with the amount of joy I got to see on their faces,” Taylor says.

This was such an exciting half time game to watch, I would love if this was an annual thing during the basketball season. I am sure that the MCOE students would love to play another intense game for our school again.
