International STAND UP to Bullying Day was on February 26, 2021.  This event is also celebrated in November. People wear pink to take a stand against bullying for awareness to others who are being bullied in schools, organizations, and any workplace.  There was also a campaign that aimed to raise public awareness about bullying and its long term effect, to create an understanding about our collective role in tacking bullying, and empower the public with the tools needed to stand up to bullying.

The November week event coincides with Anti-Bullying week, those who participate in this day sign and wear pink “pledge shirts” to take a public stand against bullying around the world. The shirts signal those who has been bullied to let them know they are supported and stands up in a non-confrontational way against bullies. There are 25 countries around the globe, schools, workplaces, and organizations who observed by this week.

Many students around the world wore the pledge shirts around school for students who are getting bullied to let them know they are not alone. The act of kindness and creativity had gained notice around the United States, Canada, and beyond.   By the following years of people supporting one another,  The International STAND UP to Bullying Day was created.  People celebrated the day by helping to create an anti-bullying pink t-shirt campaign at schools, workplaces, and organizations.  The public was encouraged to participate by showing kindness to others, wearing a pink shirt and reminding others the importance to STAND UP to bullying.
