Stress Less this Semester!

As students we all tend to stress out about school, family, or even just sitting at home because of the pandemic. Stress definitely affects each of us in many different ways. You might ask yourself how can I reduce all this stress?

Well according to Heart.org,  physical activity can help you reduce stress and stay calm. It can also improve your mood and help you think clearly throughout your days.  Physical activity doesn’t only consist of runs or a sport, there are many ways one can do to have some type of activity through out your day. An example would be working out at home or simply just going on a walk.  In addition to having physical health benefits, exercise has been shown to be a powerful stress reliever.

In Los Banos there are many beautiful parks one can go to. Here are a few locations near Los Banos where you guys can enjoy being outdoors  and do some type of exercise. Los Banos Creek Reservoir is very popular, not just fishing or camping but, also for hiking and just overall getting some air.  There are many different local parks, but one of the most beautiful parks is the Gardens V Basin Park. There are also many walking trails for example the Lindemann Trail which seems to be very popular. You’re the only one to decide to make your exercise of the day fun and going out to explore is one way to make it fun. So take advantage of the areas in our city limits.

Overall physical activity can definitely improve your  quality of life. Without regular activity, your body slowly loses its strength, stamina and ability to function properly.  Motivating yourself to do better in life is something very important, but in order to keep that motivation, one has to try hard.  Have fun and explore!
