The Los Banos Tiger boys varsity soccer team took a hard loss in the opening home game against Oristimba. The Tigers fell short on a 3-1 score. The only goal scorer for the Tigers was Omar Lopez. The Tigers started the game off to a bad start being slow in moving the ball trying to get into the opponent’s side of the field. At the start of the second half the Tigers held most of the possession, but even yet, it was not enough to win the game.

The goal scorer for the Tigers this game Omar Lopez (Number 11, Left Midfielder) had few words to say about the game and team. “The team started off to a slow start and then turned on the momentum towards the end of the game. This is only the first game of the season, and we are a good team that can do better by all means. We came short from the win but will be back at practice ready to work for the next game.”

Joshua Baltazar , one of the captains for the Tigers said a few things about his team. “Going into the game we knew this was not going to be easy due to the weather conditions. That only meant that we had to work harder as a team. This is a good group of guys that we are playing with. It was a rough start to the season but we are looking forward to building more communication and chemistry as a team.”

Come out to watch the team play on December 14 against Mountain House and on December 16 against Johansen.
