The end of the NBA regular season is now over and it is time for the best 16 out of 32 teams to compete in the postseason for the NBA championship.

The way the playoffs format works is that the best eight from each conference compete and represent their conference in the NBA Finals. There are only two conferences in the NBA, the Western Conference and Eastern Conference. Recently the NBA had added a new feature to make the postseason more interesting. They added a feature called the play-in where the 7th seed and 8th seed from each conference play against each other and the 9th and 10th seed also play against each other. These are to secure the best teams fit for the playoffs and make the final eight from each conference. Whoever wins between the 7th and 8th seed match up will secure the 7th seed, and the loser from that game will face the winner of the 9th and 10th seed and whoever wins that match up will secure the 8th seed. Once the play-in match-ups are all said and done then the actual playoffs begin.

For each playoff match-up from each conference it is the 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th, 3rd vs 6th and the 4th vs 5th. Each match-up is the best of seven games for the rest of the playoffs. This year some of the favorites to win it all are teams from the Eastern conference like the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers. From the Western Conference the favorites to win it are teams like the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns and the reigning NBA Champions from last season the Golden State Warriors. Also you cannot count out the best player of all time Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

I do think the Boston Celtics will come out of the Eastern Conference to play in the NBA Finals due to their play-makers and bench depth. From the Western Conference, it is more difficult to put a finger, on who will come out of that conference. Yet, if I had to bet on a team it would probably be the Phoenix Suns. I say this because of their amazing starting roster. three out of five players can go off and score more than 25 points at any given night. The Phoenix Suns just have such a juggernaut of an offense that no team can handle. So between the Boston Celtics and the Phoenix Suns, I would choose the Boston Celtics to win it all this season because I do believe that their defense is the only defense in the league that can stop the Phoenix Suns from scoring so much.
