The 2023 Homecoming dance might have topped homecoming for years to come.
This year’s homecoming dance was held by the Tiger’s very own sophomores. The sophomore class was led by class advisor, Ms. Barcellos, some students from ASB, and class officers who helped organize this whole homecoming.
Kanin Welch (10) class officer said, “It wasn’t easy to set up for Hoco, but it was very fun.” Welch also added,” It took us all of September and some time in August to plan for this year’s Homecoming, and we did not want to let the school down.”
At the Homecoming dance, Tigers had our very own Mr. Smith who was the DJ which he did not let down. He played very good songs at the right times and he got the crowd going. At one point of the dance he announced all the class royalty and our Homecoming King and Queen, Adam Aguilar (12) and Nataly Fernandez (12) were welcomed with a big applause. Aguilar and Fernandez said, “Our favorite part of Hoco was the Royalty slow dance. It was very special to us. The song choice was beautiful.”
This year’s Homecoming dance was also held in the MPB where many people felt like it was much better than the Tiger gym. Vanessa Leal (12) said,” I loved that it was in the MPB. It was roomier and not so hot.”
Also would like to thank all the chaperones and security guards there for watching the dance. Many students said, “It was a very memorable Homecoming and maybe more memorable than the others I’ve been to.”
