Biology teacher, Mrs. Lisa Pritsch is partnering with WorldStrides to bring the students an opportunity to travel and broaden their horizons on this educational trip to the Galapagos Islands on June 8- June 16 in 2025.
Want to go? The cost for the eight days is $5000 per person. Can’t afford it? Don’t worry! WorldStrides have affordable payment plans to suit a variety of situations. Still don’t have enough? WorldStrides provides your relatives and friends with the opportunity to donate with their Fundraising page. Mrs. Pritsch also plans to hold fundraisers for the students during the year and a half before the trip. There is no limit of how many students can attend, but there needs to be at least 10 people.
WorldStrides have tour guides that are with the class 24/7 who are not only multilingual but also trained educators who lead off-the-beaten-path adventures. Partnering with WorldStrides, this company makes sure to take care of the students, house them in 3-4 star hotels, and provide hearty meals.
The tour highlights are from day 1-4 visiting Quito, located in South America with the local Church of the Society of Jesus, El Panecillo a notable landmark in Quito, and the Equatorial Monument where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. Then from day 5-8 the group will go to the main destination, the Galapagos Islands, getting a chance to see up close the area’s unique flora, fauna, and wildlife.
Along with this unique opportunity, there are also amazing overall benefits of student travel for individuals. Three of them being educational success, career boost, and long-term benefits. WorldStrides say that out of the students who travel, 32% of students are more likely to attend college, 21% become full time employed, and above 80% feel that the trips are the most impactful.
