There is a new English Language Development (ELD) teacher hired and his name is Mr. Urial Malfabon. He teaches his students to focus on developing the English language. He teaches how the English language works, phonics, sentence structure, reading and writing skills.
Because he grew up as an English learner, he understands the struggle of having to learn and understand something that people are not familiar with. Malfabon chose to become a teacher to help students at the high school because even he can relate and understand the struggle of learning two languages.
He attended CSU Stanislaus in Turlock for six years where he majored in liberal studies for elementary education. He also earned his bachelor’s degree and his teaching credential.
Malfabon worked at Henry Miller for two years. He has a cousin Jasmin who works as a substitute teacher for the Los Banos district, as well as his wife Lizbeth who is an office assistant at Mercy Springs Elementary.
Mr. Malfabon stays busy at school for his first year. He is the adviser for the Lulac Club, as well as the adviser for the class of 2027. He also coaches the boys JV soccer team.
He is recently married to his wife who he’s been with for nine years. They have two pets, a dog named Sammie and a turtle named Ron. He is a big Raiders fan. Other sports he loves and enjoys include soccer, football, and basketball. He has traveled around México like Guadalajara, Cabo San Lucas, Oaxaca, and Aruba. His favorite artist is J Cole and his song, “Love Yourz.”
Give a Tiger welcome to Mr. Malfabon in room 15.
