Everyone drinks Dutch, but yet no one knows how the inside scoop of Dutch Brothers.
Los Banos received their Dutch Bros during 2020 and even though it has been three years since then, there is a lot to still uncover about this new hip coffee shop. Dutch Bros was founded on February 12, 1992 by two Dutch brothers, Dane and Travis Boersma. The franchise started as an espresso machine and a pushcart to over 500 stores in the west all the way to Tennessee. Dutch Bros sells numerous coffee, energy drinks, smoothies, and frosts (milkshakes) and a small selection of baked goods.
Dutch Bros layout for the coffee shop is a drive thru and walk up shop only because it is more of a get-and-go establishment.
Dutch Bros mainly hires minors to work for them, which means that some of the young employees must learn to balance school, activities, and work. One of those employees is Mia Llanez (12). She spends her weekends working at Dutch Bros. When asked about the drink menu Llanez said, “Surprisingly we do not have a secret menu but we have several different types of drinks and a variety of flavors you can choose from.”
They have quite the variety of flavors and different combinations of drinks. The weirdest order Llanez said she gets are Rebels with a soft top. A “Soft Top” is Dutch Bro’s name for having a cream on top of different types of blended drinks.
Neveah Prado (12), a frequent customer of Dutch Bros said her favorite drink is a Passion Fruit Green Tea extra sweet with a shot of rebel.
Yahir Zuniga (11) said, “Dutch Bros is my favorite. I get it almost everyday. It gives me something to drink other than water.” He said his favorite drink is a Trixie Rebel blended. Zuniga added, “But I would warn people if it is their first time, it is very addicting.”
Dutch Bros is a very successful franchise and with so many numerous drinks to choose from, you will find something you like so check it out and give it a try. The coffee shop is located in the Walgreens shopping lot.
