As of October 10, Roblox was released on all Playstation systems and it has had an impact because of the whole new player base. 

Roblox is an app that allows users to play a wide variety of “experiences” which are games and can also create games, and chat with others online. It combines gaming, social. Calling itself as the “ultimate virtual universe,” Roblox experiences are places where users can socialize, build their own unique games, and even earn and spend virtual money through micro transactions you can add in your game.

Roblox allows players to create their own games and unique creations using its game engine “Roblox studio” which can be used to play games and create them. When Playstation announced that Roblox was coming out for all of its platforms a lot of players were excited since it was available on every platform.

When asked how he feels about Roblox coming to Playstation, Brandon Diaz (12) said, “I’m glad to not have to always use my phone to play the game and can just use my console.”

Luis Godina (12) is an avid player and creates games.  He said, “I really like these changes because now my games can reach and I now have been exposed to a whole new audience and this is a great opportunity for all the smaller developers like myself to get people new to play our games.” 

The game is available on the PS store for Ps4 and for Ps5 and is playable through backwards compatibility. Roblox is also available on Xbox, mobile, and PCs, so check it out when you have some free time.
