The Los Banos Junior Varsity Athletics Awards were held November 26, 2023 in the MPB for the finishing of Fall sports.
The night covered all junior varsity fall sports including football, girls volleyball, girls flag football, and cross country. These seasons seemed to be successful for each sport. The night had a great turnout to around 180 people in attendance. Josh Gargano (10) who attended the banquet stated, “The environment was really good. Everyone was having a good time and there was really no negative energy.” Students received participation awards as well as individual awards including, Most Valuable Player (MVP), Coaches award, Offensive Player of the year, and Defensive player of the year.
The night was accommodated to the audience as there were snacks and drinks for the guests to enjoy on the fun night. The banquet lasted for around an hour and a half going through all of the lower division sports. Many players were excited about their awards, some even knew or had an idea to which awards they would be receiving. Josh Gargano stated, “I had a feeling I would get it. But we had so many good players on the team I didn’t know for sure” after being asked about receiving the MVP award.
