This school year Mrs. Haworth decided to come back to Los Banos High after leaving to go to Creekside in 2021.
Haworth made the big decision to move to teaching at a middle school to see if she liked working with younger kids. Mrs. Haworth stated, “It was fun. I enjoyed my time there, but what I ultimately realized is that teaching high school is my passion.” She also really enjoyed working with the staff at Creekside and all of them were fun to work with.
Haworth teaches anatomy and physiology to juniors and seniors and Biology to freshmen. Her first semester went very well, and she feels like she helped many students succeed. Her goals for her students this year is to start preparing them for college and for students to enjoy learning.
Velen Fajardo is one of Mrs. Haworth anatomy and physiology students and enjoys this class and having Mrs. Haworth as a teacher. Fajardo stated, “My favorite part about this class is learning more about the human body and it’s a fun environment overall.” Fajardo believes that she learns more in this class than other classes and that Mrs. Haworth is a very good teacher and wants to see her students succeed. She also provides a good learning environment while creating a connection with her students as well.
Haworth also taught stem robotics, M.E.S.A, Biology, pre Ap bio and environmental science.
