Aleksey Dvorkin (12), is one amongst very few students who have majorly excelled in their academics since freshman year.
From freshman year to now, Aleksey has taken 11 Advanced Placement classes with six of them being on his schedule this year! He has passed all of the AP tests as well that he has taken so far.
“In my experience, setting a goal and steadily working towards achieving that goal is the best way to stay productive. As long as you keep in mind what you’re working towards, you’ll always have the motivation to keep going,” said Aleksey.
Aleksey is currently one of the front runners for the Senior class of 2024 Valedictorian, one of the highest awards recognizing a student’s outstanding academics. When he heard he was in the running for valedictorian, Aleksey said, “I was happy and felt accomplished because it’s nice to see that hard work does pay off.”
Not only is Aleksey inclined in the classroom, he is also involved in many extracurricular activities here around campus. For example, he is the Chess Club President, Debate Club Treasurer, and the Treasurer of the Spanish Honor Society. He is also a player on the boys golf team.
Aleksey already has about one semester worth of college credits through AP exams. He never took an MC2LB class as he much rather preferred AP classes because of the challenge.
“I like to challenge myself and I feel that I learn more by taking harder classes,” says Aleksey regarding his type of class load.
Aleksey plays a great role in what a student could achieve in their high school careers. Hard work, dedication, and determination will always pay off in the end as you can see here with Aleksey Dvorkin and his academic achievements. For the future, he is going to major in mathematics and become a mathematician.
