Los Banos High School’s ASB team is playing a game of tag between their students and staff members on campus. This is the first time that Los Banos High School has decided to host this game and have only specific students participating.
The game started on March 12, 2024 and will last until one winner remains. The rules are very interesting. Players cannot be tagged during class time, in any general building inside school and out, or the first ten seconds of the passing period. Students cannot also be tagged if they are participating in a sport, but if any student is there to watch the game, watch out. Once a person gets tagged, everything must be reported to Mr. Frank Leonard, ASB director, who is coordinating a bracket for players.
After speaking with a participating student, Kristina London (12), she explained that it is a free-for-all game, meaning that nobody has partners. All participants including both ASB classes and Los Banos High School teachers and staff members received an envelope with names of their targets who the opposing participant must tag to get eliminate.
London stated, “We wanted to do something similar to ‘senior assassins’ amongst the students that also gave the people who are behind the scenes with all the other school activities a chance to have fun like the other students. It is nice to have everyone participating as well, and not just seniors.”
It is a great opportunity for students to also create memories and have a great team bonding experience for ASB. Good luck to all playing students and staff members. Winner will be announced when the time comes.
