On April 20, 2024 Pacheco High School hosted the annual All District Band concert. Unlike past years, choir, winter guard, winter percussion, and jazz bands were a part of the show.
The concert began with school concerts performing, then the elementary school bands played. Surprisingly, this year there were a number of soloists performing, whether it be a soloist in the elementary section or winter guard section. Regardless of the new incorporation, each soloist did great and had fun performing. If anything, the soloists stole the show.
The Los Banos High school performed “Curacao Blue,” “Time After Time,” “Celebration,” and “After the Storm.” for their bands. Winter guard performed “Reborn” and winter percussion performed “Focal Point.”
Throughout the event, both Pacheco and Los Banos high school students helped keep the event organized by getting assigned a shift and they were expected to attend. Students helped greet guests, sell snacks, and prep for the performing groups.
The event itself went fairly smoothly, unlike past years when every school played at the same time, specific schools and groups had specific playing times so the gym wouldn’t be packed.
This is not the last performance for the Los Banos High School music department. The band will have their final concert on May 15, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the MPB.
