My senior year has been filled with a bunch of fun events along with ups and downs.
Starting off with Senior Sunrise, it was a fun event that brought all of us together so we watched the sun come up, and we also had senior walk-in the same day. These events were very significant because they were the start of our senior year as we prepared to complete the last year of high school. Freshman reception was also a fun event because it was nice to experience our first dance with our friends along with the freshmen as well.
My first football game of the year playing safety was something surreal because it was the start but also the finish to my last ten games of the year. Of course that game had to be against Dos Palos which was a good game because the rivalry has been there for many years. My Homecoming game was also a good experience because it was nice to have one last go on a Homecoming night. The Homecoming dance was also very fun because it was everybody together having a good time and just enjoying the start of school together. My football senior night was also a great experience because it was one of the final games of my football career that meant the most to me. Not only did I have a good time but I also did an amazing job with my performance in my opinion.
Next event this year that was a good time would be Winter Formal because it was a good night and the start to the end of the year. I was looking forward to finishing my senior year, but I was also enjoying the little events happening in between. This was also my first year swimming on the swim team, and I had so much fun because I was new to the sport but excited as well. I had so much fun making friends and also learning how to become a better swimmer as well. For my senior swim night it was a very fun experience because we basically just messed around the whole day not taking anything serious. Of course we tried our best but it was more fun just being around my friends.
Prom was somewhat good for the most part but it wasn’t the greatest or what I had expected it to be. We made the most of it for what it was, but at the end of the day, it could have been a lot better. I won’t complain because I’m glad I still got to experience it. I just wish it was in a better manner.
The next few upcoming events have not happened yet, but I am looking forward to them very much as our senior banquet will be taking place May 25. I’m also looking forward to Grad Night because I have only gone to Disneyland once in my life so a second time will be amazing. The last event that I am very excited for is Senior Sunset because I’m looking forward to the last event with all of my peers and graduating will be coming next.
Some advice I would give to incoming seniors would be enjoy it while it lasts but have fun and do not take it so seriously.
