The Senior Banquet is an event for the entire senior class put on by the Parent Club. It’s one last dance/gathering together before graduation. This year the banquet was held May 25 in the MPB from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This year’s banquet was a positive experience for all seniors who attended. It was well decorated from the tables to the walls and even the dance floor. The food was amazing. Seniors were served red pasta with chicken and salad. The desserts were endless as there was unlimited options from hard candy to cake pops and brownies. One major thing that I liked was a photo booth to take pictures with your friends. The music was good as well, especially the DJ, who encouraged everyone to come out to dance.
One highlight to this event is the raffle prizes. Students receive five raffle tickets when they enter the event. There are about 30 different prizes like Starbucks gift cards, a television, a tool box, a car wash kit, a bleaching kit, and so many more. Students put tickets into prizes they would like to win. I didn’t really care that much about any of prizes because I was just glad to be there, but I did win a gift card to Wingstop.
Overall, the event was amazing with good number of students in attendance, and I had fantastic time being with my friends. I really encourage that next year’s class to come out to this event; it is really worth your while.
