On August 19, Los Banos FFA held their first meeting in the Tigers Multi Purpose building.
The new officer team worked hard to set up the first meeting. It was a great kick start of the year with the biggest turnout of students ever. The members made sure to bring their families for games, food, and fun. The Ag Booster parents barbecued burgers for the families and everyone enjoyed playing cornhole and spending time with each other in the community.
The official meeting started at 7:00 p.m. where the chapter was able to meet their new chapter officers, as well as were introduced to their new student teacher, Mr. Flores and FFA’s newest member of the Advisor department, Ms. Souza.
During the meeting, the officers were able to recite their opening and closing ceremonies, as well as discuss future opportunities for activity points, community service activities and handed out tickets for the year’s first fundraiser, a pork loin drive thru which will be held on September 19, 2024.
The Ag Booster parents also held a meeting simultaneously for parents to discuss information about how parents can participate in being an Ag Booster member and support the FFA Ag programs this school year.
