Junior Julian Cazares has committed to Stanford University to play baseball. With many options and offers from other schools, Cazares decided to go to Stanford for their exceptional baseball program and education. He knew right away that this was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up on and its close enough to home which is where he wants to be.
The whole recruiting process was easy for him and an easy decision. Cazares stated, “I never really encountered a difficult phase through the recruiting process. It was easy for me since I decided to commit so early.”
He has not yet decided what he wants to major in; he’s exploring all of his options. He also talked about how he chose so early on that Stanford was the right choice. Cazares stated, “I chose Stanford so early on because it is a school I never thought I would have as an option, so I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass on and it’s local.”
Cazares had so many emotions through this whole process including excitement and joy. Cazares stated, “I was feeling really excited knowing I was going to be given an opportunity to go to Stanford, and this was such a big moment for me and my family, and till this day that excitement is still there.”
He has been working hard every day to keep up his grades and do well in school and is putting in hard work and effort every single day in order to keep his dream alive.
Cazares has been working hard and is so excited to be committed to Stanford so early in his high school career and he has hopes that this will all lead him to having a chance to be a part of the MLB in the future.
He does have a back up plan and has been throwing around ideas of what he could do if the MLB doesn’t work out such as real estate or even being an athletic trainer or physical therapist, so that he stays involved with sports. However, his hopes and dreams since he was little is to be in the MLB.
