The varsity water polo team has started off not the best this season, but the team is still working hard as a team to get better.
Nicole Curutchage (11) said, “Our season is going good so far even though we have not won any games. We have been put in a league with an amazing team, and it challenges us to work together.”
Having a good bond with teammates is important because the team will work better together. Curutchage said, “My favorite thing about playing water polo is the bonds I create with my teammates. We all have a good connection playing water polo and My water polo girls are amazing and I love them very much.”
Mia Duran (11) has been playing water polo for three years. Duran said, “Although we haven’t won a game, our season is going pretty good because we are improving a lot as a team.”
One of Duran’s favorite things about water polo is “My personal favorite thing about water polo is being able to play with all my friends and bus rides with all the loud music.”
The next game is October 21 at 4 p.m. against Atwater. Their senior night is on October 30 against Golden Valley.
