On October 26 ASB is hosting Trunk or Treat at Los Banos High School from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Trunk or Treat is an opportunity for clubs to provide candy to the community. This event allows young kids that are not necessarily allowed to be out late at night to attend this event, get candy, and feel the experience.
In addition, families do not need to go to a stranger’s house, families can be in a more trusted environment collecting candy at school.
ASB president, Cassidy Barcellos (12) stated her excitement about this event by saying, “I loved doing it, I just love seeing the joy on the little kids faces.”
ASB advisor, Mr. Frank Leonard also stated how the kids are excited, he said, “The kids are excited to bring their vehicles and figure out who is gonna get decorated the most. They like interacting with little kids and passing out candy.”
On an average a lot of club members usually do this event. Last year around 15 clubs joined.
This event is based off of Halloween where kids can dress up in costumes and each club that participates can create a specific theme for their members to follow and dress up as. Those who are taking part in the event decorate the trunks of their cars to match the theme that they picked.
In addition to this event, the high school is also putting on a maze/haunted house that people can attend afterwards. If any families are interested in bringing their kids, it is 10 dollars.
