Restorative Justice hired Jeremy Jenkins who now works on our campus.
Jenkins’ job is to give second chances to students that have made mistakes or went through a tough time and try to counsel them to become better or do something good in the world.
Jenkins loves working on our campus as a part of Restorative Justice, as he explained, “I love it, love the atmosphere, the staff, the admin is really big supporters to restorative justice.” He is happy to work with the students and be able to make them grow more into young adults.
Completing a job like Jenkins’s is to have patience, always listening to the students, making sure that they have a voice, and always being a positive role to them and our school atmosphere.
Jenkins wants to keep working in this job for several more years although along the way he would like to be a part of any school’s administration. He said, “I want to stay in the school setting, get into school admin, like assistant principal or around those categories.”
Jenkins heard about the Restorative Justice program from other friends that introduced it to him. He explained, “This was something that was up my alley, because I always wanted to go to school for counseling to become one, although this is good as well.”
Jenkins Offers a Restorative Justice Club which meets every Wednesday at lunch room 514. New members are always welcome to join.
