Many students have different career paths and different ways of achieving them. School is an important part of helping students think of what they want to do and to learn the right skills. Khazi Aguinaldo and Robert Milstid shared their potential career paths and how school is helping them achieve this goal.
Aguinaldo wants to be a tattoo artist, and Milstid wants to join the NFL. Aguinaldo never thought about even doing tattoos and is only ever doing it for the money and how it fits him. “Tattooing pays a lot and that’s really why I would even do it,” he said. Aguinaldo has a lot of skill in drawing that will help him succeed in doing his job, he got the inspiration of doing it from his art classes in school.
Milstid loves watching football and thinks he could make the NFL even if he has little to no experience yet. “I just want to play because I like football,” he said. He only ever gets to play real games in PE, and plays with his brothers where he said he learned new moves from. He really does feel like he got potential in making it with enough practice.
Aguinaldo does want to make sure that he’s happy when working with tattoos, he hopes that it’s not that different from drawing on paper where he mentions that if it was he could become one of the best tattoo artists without even trying. Milstid knows that just watching or playing football is not going to be enough so he is watching videos of different famous players and how they came up and how they made it to the NFL.
Both Milstid and Aguinaldo know that school is very important for their goals. Aguinaldo said it helps him focus on his art when he’s bored in class. Milstid feels like he really has potential when he plays in PE. He gets excited whenever he makes a good play. They both know that they have to do their best to reach their goals whether it’s their dream job or not. Whether they make it in the future is up to them.
