The winter sports this year are wrestling, soccer and basketball.
Wrestling is a great physical sport that requires a lot of dedication and forces the athlete to break others and most of all themselves. Wrestling starts in the beginning of November and practice starts at 4 and ends at 6. The team is coached by Eddie, a new coach of the wrestling team and who previously coached at Creekside Middle School.
As for soccer, time does not wait, it’s either the athlete is the best or isn’t. Tryouts are happening as we speak right now, tryouts start on October 28 and end November 1. Tryouts will be located on the school field. The team is coached by Martin Salvatier.
Pablo Garcia, the goalie of the Los Banos soccer team stated, “You should join because it’s fun.”
Omar Blas (12), a previous player of the Anzar Hawks stated, “It’s a great exercise and can also be a hard workout. I was able to gain a 6 pack and 20 pounds of pure clean muscle.”
Basketball is a good sport that requires pure technique in dribbling and shooting which starts in the beginning of November. Tryouts will be located at the girls gym.
