Valentine’s day is just around the corner and students have been asked one simple question, “Who is your valentine?”
Some students spend Valentine’s Day with friends or family, some spend it with their significant other, and others spend Valentine’s by themselves, but just how many students have a Valentine this year?
Out of a total of 22 students surveyed, 13 have a valentine this year, while nine do not. This means 59.09% of students surveyed have a valentine while 40.91% of students do not. Among the 22 students, 16 students were juniors, five students were seniors, and one student was a sophomore.
Finally, the question remaining is what do students plan to do for Valentine’s? Junior Nathaniel Gonzales stated he had a Valentine and commented, “Well, I’m probably going to take my girlfriend out to go eat at this nice Italian restaurant in town. If I can get enough money, I’ll have a bunch of little gifts too.”
Junior Lupita Ruano who stated she does not have a Valentine commented, “The new season of ‘Yellowjackets’ comes out, so I’ll be watching that for Valentine’s.”
Regardless of relationship status, everyone chooses to spend Valentine’s day in different ways according to their likings and there is no right or wrong way to spend it.
