The boys tennis team recently defeated Merced High school making it Merced’s first loss in four years.
The boys final score was 6-3 this is a big accomplishment for the team because of how difficult this team is to beat. The third doubles team locked in the win with a close game going into a third set with a final score of 6-3.
Brody Benton (10) is number three doubles. It is his second year playing tennis and with it only being his second year, he’s improved tremendously and has many accomplishments making this win against Merced a big one.

Sebastian Paolini (12) was Benton’s doubles partner and helped secure the win. Paolini had his own struggles during the match more mentally.
