The Los Banos High School FFA Banquet is a celebration that celebrates FFA members and all their achievements throughout their year in the FFA program. This celebration recognizes the achievements of the students, including awarding the American FFA degree, the most difficult degree to achieve. The celebration will be held on May 17, 2025 in the multipurpose room. These celebrations usually last no longer than two and a half hours. FFA members must dress in official uniform.
“Watching kids grow is the best part of FFA for me. Watching them gain confidence with public speaking. Kids don’t really do that until they put on a blue jacket,” said Mr. Stuart McCullough, FFA advisor.
Since it is a banquet, a meal, which is usually one of the highlights of the banquet, will be served. This year at the banquet, the meal will consist of pork loin, scalloped potatoes, green salad, and
bread rolls.
FFA Banquets are a formal event, so typical FFA events will take place. Events include:
*Opening and Closing Ceremonies
*Possible Special Guest Appearances
*Award Presentations
*Chapter, Officer, and Parent recognition
*Socializing events
*Possible Themed Banquets
Family members are allowed to attend the banquet with the FFA member. This will make sure that the family will see the achievements of the FFA member. This banquet will also be the final FFA activity in high school for the Class of 2025 seniors. The banquet will be a big, final event to close out the 2024-2025 FFA year.
