The fair had a variety of events for families to do.
There was a petting area for kids to get a chance to go in and pet some pigs and goats along with a hand washing station to use after petting the animals. There was an activity for kids called “Little Hands for Ag” where children could play and pick produce and farm to act like farmers and learn about agriculture.
The fair had a lot of sweet and savory things to eat. There were too many to choose from between pretzels, barbecue, ice cream, cinnamon rolls, and delicious classical lemonade stands to quench everyone’s thirst. Yuridia Avila Sixtos (12) had gone to the fair with some friends and got some delicious pricey food. Sixtos said, “I got some curly asada fries, the fries were my favorite. It was pretty expensive, I spent roughly $150 but it was definitely worth it as I got to create more fun memories with the people I love.”
The most popular event at the fair was the rides. A lot of students favored two rides “The Zipper” and “The Ferris Wheel.” The Zipper is a fun and thrilling ride that gets students adrenaline pumping with their friends. The Ferris wheel could not be missed when it offered people to ride and watch a beautiful view of the town at night. There was also a chance to win prizes at game booths held near the rides area to get a gift for themselves or for their loved ones.
Students who attended the fair had left with great memories and smiles on their faces. The event was a success in making families enjoy their days at the fair and will continue to go again in the future.
