As we know, Los Banos gets very hot during the spring and the summer. We have to prepare ourselves for the heat that is coming our way.  LB people have to prepare themselves with fans, and working acs. That means that it’s almost time for pool parties, going to the beach late at night with family and friends. 

There’s pros and cons when it comes to having this much heat in a small town. Some pros are that you can go to the beach and go for a swim or just stay at home in your pool under some shade with a nice cool drink. It will also be an incredible time to get a tan on with some music for their vibes. The cons that comes with it is that you have to deal with the heat all week and stay at home because of how humid it can get. The heat will also have people seeking shade whenever they’re outside.  

Ice cream shops and ice cream vendors are going to get lucky this summer because of all the customers they are about to receive. The heat is so intense, it will make you stay inside forever and not want to think about going outside at all. 

Some perfect places to go to when the heat comes by to cool off is the San Luis Reservoir. It’s a nice place to visit with friends and family, you can go in the water to cool down, it’s also a perfect place to go on a picnic because it provides  a lot of shade from the trees and is a beautiful place to visit during the summer. 

You can also visit local parks if driving isn’t an option. Vineyard Park has a lot of space for kids to run around and let their energy out, it also provides shade with tables to eat at. 

Another park is Persimmon Park, it also has a ton of space and field to play sports on and has a playground with tables and shade.
