Drama, where stories come to life and every voice has a stage. Whether you’re an aspiring actor or just someone who loves the thrill of live performance, there’s a place for you here.
Taetum Cardenas (11) has been part of the Drama Club for two years. One thing she most enjoys is “I enjoy the people and environment because we’re all learning together and all enjoy what we do as a club.”
Being a part of a club is really fun and can keep you busy. There are also lots of challenges that come with the plays. She said, “I think the most challenging thing is managing my time because I’m still involved in sports and taking quite a few classes.”
She added, “It’s difficult to find the time to memorize my lines and songs.”
Cardenas wanted to join the club because she “enjoys telling stories and performing and this gave me a place to do that and improve on my skills as well.”
Being in a club is a good way to make new friends and meet new people. A club can also be really fun but it is not easy.
Cardenas prepares for a play is by “Whenever it’s close to the first curtain for a play, I’m always trying to forget that there’s an audience. I try to take my mind off of what I’m actually about to do to try to calm my nerves.”
The Drama Club is more than just a stage, it’s a place where the students work together and show off all their creativity and hard work to bring stories to life.
The Drama Club has a big play coming up in June. It will be three days of performances on June 11, 12, and 13.
