Club Rush happened on August 29, 2025 in the quad area, as a way for school clubs to promote themselves and encourage students to join by creating booths that encapsulate their club’s purpose.
When asked about his club’s preparation for the event, Arturo Rodriguez (12), communications coordinator of the Wellness Club, said, “We decorated our table, ordered our stuff on Amazon, had meetings to finalize.”
The event took place during Pride Time and lunch, maybe with the goal of making more students available to participate.
“It was wonderful, there were a lot of sign-ups,” Rodriguez added. “Everyone was relatively kind and spirited within the Tiger campus.”
The Wellness Club seemed to believe they had a great turnout, with lots of students interested in joining the clubs.
Not only club officers reported having a good experience at the event. One student recalled her time spent searching for interesting clubs to join.
Paola Anguiano (12) said, “There was a wide range of clubs to choose from, and many informative handouts. All of the officers were welcoming and gave their best effort to encourage sign-ups.”
With so many clubs on campus, students had a large variety of booths to visit. Due to the wide range of options, it’s hard to tell which clubs had the best turnout.
When asked if there were any clubs that stood out, Anguiano stated, “Specifically Medlife. Aside from there being a big crowd at the table, I found it interesting that they had props you could interact with.”
Interaction with the club’s purpose was the highlight of her experience. While not all clubs had such features, it seemed to be a persuading feature for some students.
In reference to what his club is most looking forward to this year, Rodriguez answered, “Potential field trips, senior cords, the new people we’re going to meet.”
With all of the sign-ups that each club obtained, it isn’t yet clear as to what each one has planned. Students can only wait to see what is in store for this year’s clubs once they join.
