Drama Club is gearing up for their newest production, “Reality Stars: Greek Gods Edition,” a creative and comedic twist on Greek mythology. The show will take place in the MPB with performances scheduled for November 20 at 7 p.m., November 22 at both 12 p.m. and 7 p.m., and November 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets will be available for 7 dollars at the door.
The play takes audiences on a hilarious journey as the Greek gods compete against one another on a reality TV show set for Mount Olympus. Combining modern day humor with ancient mythology, the production promises plenty of laughs and surprises as each god fights for the top spot in this divine competition.
Malachi Gentry (12), one of the cast members, will take on the role of Hermes, the witty and quick messenger god. When asked about the play, Gentry shared his excitement about bringing such a unique idea to life. “It’s a fun mix of mythology and reality TV drama,” he said. “Everyone in the cast has worked really hard to make it entertaining for the audience.”
The play was chosen by popular vote within the Drama Club, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm for fresh and creative storytelling. Alongside the performances, the Drama Club will also participate in the school’s “Tent or Treat” event, helping spread school spirit throughout the community.
With its mix of humor, creativity, and talent, “Reality Stars: Greek Gods Edition” is sure to be a memorable event that showcases the dedication and imagination of our drama students.
