The FFA attended the annual Opening and Closing Ceremonies Contest in Gustine on October 15, where members competed against other schools from across the Great River Valley FFA Section. This event tested students’ knowledge, presentation, and teamwork as they performed the official FFA opening and closing lines — a key tradition that highlights leadership and professionalism within the organization.
The Los Banos FFA officer team proudly represented their chapter, earning gold and showcasing their dedication and preparation.
In addition to the officer team’s success, Los Banos also had four freshman teams compete in the contest, each demonstrating impressive skill and confidence. All four freshman teams brought home gold ratings, a remarkable achievement that reflects their hard work and commitment.
Even more impressively, three out of the four freshman teams achieved a clean sweep, with every member of those teams earning Outstanding for their position in the room where they competed. This rare accomplishment highlights the strong potential of the new members and the bright future of the Los Banos FFA chapter.
FFA is incredibly proud of all the freshmen who participated in this contest. Their success marks just the beginning of what promises to be a very successful journey in FFA for these young leaders.
