Los Banos FFA Prepares for the Upcoming Year

Stephanie Murphy, FFA Reporter

The Los Banos Future Farmers of America (FFA) officer team spends many days preparing for upcoming school events.  During the week of July 25, the Los Banos FFA Officer Team along with their advisers, traveled to Pine Mountain Lake in Groveland for the annual Officer Retreat. The retreat allowed for organization and planning for future activities along with officer team bonding and leadership exercises. The theme, “Born 2 Farm,” was decided during this time and will be advertised throughout the year. The officers are excited for all that they have planned and cannot wait to see the chapter grow.

On August 14th 2017 Los Banos FFA held their first meeting of the year. It was very successful and fun filled.  For the first time in several years, Los Banos separated from Pacheco High’s meeting because of the large number of students and parents now enrolled in the program.   There were 171 FFA members in attendance. These members and their parents enjoyed a barbecue dinner and corn hole.
