Girls Volleyball Is Back!
September 12, 2017
A new volleyball season has begun at LBHS, and players, whether they are returning to the court or playing for the first time, they are eager to begin playing.
With many seniors gone from last year’s team, the remaining players have had to make adjustments to make the team work well together.
Senior Emily Lonetree played in last week’s scrimmage against Hilmar. “It was fun,” says Lonetree, “we all got to hang out and create even more team bonding.”
The volleyball team also recently took a trip to Reno where they played games against several schools from California and Nevada. “It was fun team bonding,” says Emily Lonetree, who describes the trip as “a fun new experience.”
Lonetree also gave words of encouragement to all her fellow teammates as well as any newcomers this year. “Just have fun and try your best.”
Other team members are excited because this is their last year playing volleyball and will miss it once they graduate. Griselda Angulo, a senior says, “I’m going to miss volleyball when I graduate, but I had an amazing time while it lasted.”
The girls volleyball team will have a home game on Wednesday, September 13 against Patterson.
