Senior Advice for the Year

Seniors! It is time to step it up!
This is the time when seniors should be independent and responsible for themselves. Senior year is when students start to plan what they will do with their lives. Passing all your classes and making sure you have all of your credits,and if you are planning on going to college to sign up before it is too late. At this point of the year you are becoming an adult where certain decisions have to made. This time of year, seniors have a lot on their plate.
High school students who typically have five classes with different teachers could mean as much as 17.5 hours of work each week. One study has suggests that many students in college study an average of 10-13 hours per week. This is the equivalent of less than two hours per day. Approximately 11% of students spend more than 25 hours per week studying.
Senioritis will slowly start creeping through your veins, making you slightly lazy and not passionate about anything. However, if you get too lazy during your second semester, colleges might not accept you because they also look at all your semester grades senior year. Once you graduate, this stage of your life is officially over, and the new stage opens a whole new world.
Also make time to get at least six hours of sleep. This might be hard to do, but it would be really good for you so that you are not sleepy in class.
If you set a time to do your homework so you do not forget to do it, take breaks so that you do not get too overwhelmed. Senior year is the time to create memories and have fun. Stay focused and strive to be the best.

Marcos Sanchez said, “Well I really don’t care what people think about me. I don’t know just work hard and be determined. Don’t take school as a joke. Studying hard, don’t give up and try hard before you get to senior year.”
