On October 19, 2017 both the Concert and Chamber choir classes will be taking a trip to the University of Pacific to participate in the Fresno Pacific Festival. The Fresno Pacific Festival is an annual festival where high school choirs are invited to come and perform for some of the top music professors that the University of Pacific has to offer.

The festival invites many different high schools from the Merced County area to come and talk to professors about different singing techniques, skills, and strategies. The professors usually then ask each choir what different songs they are practicing or performing and they will go over the song with them by discussing different techniques they can use. The choirs then perform for the professors to show them what they have learned.

In total there are about 16 high school choirs that will be attending the event. The choirs will depart from the school at around 9:00 a.m. There will be eight choirs in the morning session and eight choirs in the afternoon session. LBHS will be attending the afternoon session.
