With the end of the year approaching, students are eagerly waiting to get accepted in their college of choice, whether they applied to a university or state college.

The second best UC is Berkeley. UC Berkeley is one of the best schools in California, because of its faculties. In total, as of 2013, the teachers have won multiple awards, including Nobel Prizes.

The third best UC in California is University of Los Angeles. With UCLA being one of the most populous schools in the country, it has an ability to integrate academics with extracurricular activities. UCLA also has a vibrant campus life that embodies the attitude of Los Angeles.

Senior Hannah Vera states, “Even though I am excited to go to college, I’m stressing out because I find out next month whether or not I get accepted into a UC.”

She says that she has visited multiple colleges, but she still can not pinpoint which college she wants to go to because when she thinks of one college, she automatically starts thinking of another college and benefits the other colleges offer.

Eric Macias, junior, says, “I wish I could go to Stanford, but the acceptance rate is really low. If I don’t get accepted, I’ll probably go to Merced college, then apply later.”

Devin Lower, junior, says, “I didn’t think I was college material, but in my classes we’ve done a lot of college application practice, and now I think I have what it takes.” Lower will take the rest of his college requirement classes next year.

College acceptances are still continuing and seniors need to have a choice made by this spring.
