Spring sports have been battling weather conditions, with the rain, many practices and events have been cancelled. The first swim meet was successful with varsity girls and boys winning against Chowchilla. Time trials were cancelled due to the weather so swimmers were placed in the events coaches wanted to put them in. Pacheco also did not have time trials so some Pacheco swimmers participated in the meet to get a time, but they did not count in the points.

Overall the swim meet went well compared to past seasons. Starting the season with a win is always good. Some swimmers think the team could have done better. Karissa Frates, 12,  said, “We did pretty well, but we could have done way better if we were more serious in practice.”

More swimmers have the same thoughts. Luke Young, 11, said,” I think it was a really good start. I hope we can take that dub every meet.”
