Varsity football was defeated against Hilmar Hornets 41-9 on August 24. Tigers first home game was really big and exciting to the students, especially the team.

First quarter was not looking to good for the Tigers with a score of 0-13. Second quarter Tigers pulled through and scored a field goal 3-34.

In third quarter, Tigers managed to score a touchdown thanks to Justin Incaprera, 11 making the score 9-41.

Fourth quarter,  Tigers were still down and did not score anything. The final score was 41-9 with the Tigers suffering a loss. Tiger team member, Juan Cuevas, right end d-line commented, “If we lose, we will lose as a team and no longer individuals.” This defeat will not discourage the Tigers.

The team will take this loss and learn from it and play better next time. Defense player Amillio Cortez, 11, commented, “On the next game against Patterson, we will do our jobs right with least possible mistakes, zero if possible.”
