The end of October was a busy one for everyone on campus.  Spooky season was here. Tigers got more into spirit with dress up days and activities.

The week of October 22 was Red Ribbon week. The school had red ribbons tied to different areas of the school as a reminder of the commitment to be drub free.

Also Mr.Gurgen, principal organized a Veteran’s Day float for the parade. Students and staff members provided pictures of family members who were military veterans to help decorate the float.

Dress up days included:

Monday: Monster Under The Bed( pj day)

Tuesday: Twitches Day (twin day)

Wednesday: Witches Feet ( spooky socks)

Thursday: Bring Vine Back( act/dress like a vine)

Friday: Spooky spirit (class colors)

Students had a Halloween/Cross Town Clash rally at the end of the week. ASB performed a dance based on Halloween. They also announced the fall sports teams and got a little time to shine. After that they had the class acts.  Unfortunately, freshmen didn’t have an act. Sophomores had the Coraline movie act. Juniors had The Nightmare Before Christmas movie act. Seniors had The Corpse Bride movie act.

There were two new games played during rally. One was hungry hungry hippos and the other was wrapping the mummy. Hungry hungry hippos involved a student on scooter who was rolled around and had a basket to pick up as many plastic balls as they could while another student moved them around to steer them in the right direction.

Wrapping the mummy had teachers that represented each class and the students had to wrap the teachers in toilet paper. All though the winner was undecided, the students had a great time watching. The juniors won the spirit stick this time.

Overall the Halloween rally was a success thanks to the people who participated in the events, as well as the activities leading up to it and into the football game.  Students always come together and display tiger pride.
