Stanislaus State Admissions Begin
February 15, 2019
Attention, Seniors! Have you applied to Stanislaus State University? Did you get accepted? If so, students received a slip of paper informing them to go to the library on February 12, for an informational meeting on what to do next.
The Stanislaus State representative assigned to our school, Leticia Barrios, went over all the important details that students should know about the university, including financial aid decision letters, scholarships, and campus amenities.
Stanislaus State is a beautiful campus with a park, and a couple ponds and lakes.
“Some people even get married there,” the representative informed us.
The university is relatively easy to get into, with an acceptance rate of around 70.6%, but it is hard to get enrolled into the program for a couple majors.
Stanislaus State is well known for its nursing program, and many people apply there for that reason. Due to this, the program is highly impacted and the acceptance criteria- although listed as the same- is much higher due to the high competition.
Of course, there is no need to be discouraged. If Stanislaus State is a campus students desire to attend, but nursing is the major of choice, they can still try. The possibility is never zero. In the worst case scenario, students can finish their general education there and transfer into a different university to complete their Bachelor’s degree.
According to the representative, Stanislaus State provides large amounts of financial aid and scholarships. If students applied to Stanislaus State and need financial aid, then they should be receiving their financial aid award letter fairly soon.
When it comes to making a decision for college, it is no easy choice. There are many great campus’ to choose from, and it really comes down to what is best for the students’ major.
If they decide that Stanislaus State is the right one for them, make sure they visit the website at http://www.csustan.edu/admissions and click on the “Freshman” button to learn more and accept your admissions! Remember, there is a deadline. If students need to contact Leticia Barnes, her email is [email protected].
