Spring break is here from March 23 through April 1. With the change in weather from cold and raining to slightly warm and raining, the sky seems clearer every day. This year’s spring break is right next to the official start of spring March 20. Unlike previous years, spring break is not with Easter and is a couple of weeks early.

There are many things to do this year.  Here are some ideas to do this spring break.

Fishing is one of the best things you can do during the springtime.  As the weather warms, you can finally get outside and not freeze to death as well as enjoy the outdoors. Some of the best fishing spots near us have to be the Los Banos Reservoir and the San Joaquin River.

Camping is another great thing to do during spring break, being in the woods or wherever ever you camp. While camping you can enjoy the weather, see all the springtime plants, go hiking down wilderness paths, swim in lakes and rivers, barbecue, and spend time with friends and family. Some great places to go camping is Yosemite, Sunset Beach, and Lake Tahoe.

Going to the beach is the next best thing to do during spring break. Going to the beach and enjoying the beach weather, explore on the boardwalk, shop,  and try new seafood restaurants and more. Some of the best places to go are Santa Cruz, Monterey and Long Beach.

“For spring break, I’m going camping at Lake Tahoe and working to get some money together,” said David Mercado, (12).

“I am going to Arizona to visit some family for a week and going to see the Grand Canyon for the first time,” said Austin Young, (12).
