California Scholarship Federation (CSF) Honors Students

Jasmin Heimerl, Staff Reporter

The California Scholarship Federation (known as CSF) is a state-wide academic honors organization whose purpose is to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. There are several requirements students have to meet to able to be a member. Students have to submit applications based on their report card grades each semester.
Their GPA is important to secure eligibility for CSF membership but also a point system specified in the CSF State By-Laws. Students are expected to get at least 13 points. Points can be received by taking college prep or honors classes and receiving As or Bs.
Every two months Ms. Seaborn and the members of this club meet to talk about applications, fundraiser, etc.. Students who are a member for at least four semesters will get awarded at graduation. They get to sit in the front, will receive a certificate, as well as a CSF pin.
