Agricultural teachers are not only our FFA advisors, but generous men and women who put their time and effort into helping their students succeed in and outside the classroom. This is no exception to a Los Banos High Scool FFA Advisor, Ms. Sonia Falaschi, who had recently been presented with the Teacher of Excellence Award by the California Agricultural Teachers’ Association (CATA). CATA’s purpose is to promote agricultural education in California and acknowledge those who are continuously engaged in this work.

Ms. Falaschi has worked at Los Banos High School for nineteen years, and has educated and inspired countless students in the community about agricultural industry. Through earning this prestigious award she was nominated by her peers, voted on by teachers within the region, and finally evaluated by the state selection committee. Taking on the position of an agricultural advisor is no easy task which is why the Los Banos FFA Chapter would like to congratulate her on her achievement.
