LBHS welcomes a much needed female security guard.

Lizeth Sanchez, Staff Reporter

This year we received a new member to the security team on campus at Los Banos High School, Miss Sanchez .

Miss Sanchez comments that her new job is “great, I like it,” and that it’s her second year working as a security guard.

Her favorite thing about being a security guard is , “ the students, it’s great, the staffs great, the kids are great.”

She is also the girls basketball coach at LBHS.  Basketball is one of her hobbies. As a female to the security guard team, she can help female students and go into the girls restroom to check if students are slacking off.

Mr.Gurgen, LBHS principal said we needed a female security guard. “Los Banos hasn’t had a female security in a long time, and last year, we noticed we needed one to help our female students.   First of all, somebody that female students can go up to and talk to maybe something you don’t feel comfortable talking to a male security officer.   Also,  somebody that can walk into the female restroom without having to empty the whole place, like the male security guards have to.  She can walk in and check how things are going and talk to you guys. I think it was needed so we worked on it to meet that need.”
Miss Sanchez, LBHS new security guard, is a great addition to the security staff.
