There is a new musical mastermind on campus and her name is Danielle Cavazos. This is her first year at LBHS and she is excited to lead her band members in achieving their personal goals, as well as performing to the best of their abilities at competitions.

Originating from Merced, CA, Cavazos studied music at Golden Valley High School and CSU Stanislaus. She enjoys the starkness of chilly autumn air and catching up on TV shows such as Games of Thrones and Supernatural.

Cavazos has always wanted to teach from a young age, and she loves to help others learn new things. Her favorite thing about teaching at LBHS is all of her students, who are very talented and work very hard every day.

To young musicians, Cavazos recommends that if you’re passionate about music, to keep trying.

“Do not give up! It will all be worth it when you can finally play that piece of music you have been working so hard to learn.”
