Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is 2022’s 2nd biggest launch within the Marvel universe and just two years after Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman’s passing. Many viewers and critics were worried about how they would continue the Black Panther series and how they would manage to incorporate his legacy through the movie. By the statistics and reviews of the movie, it has lived up to its long awaited release.

In 2018, the first Black Panther movie was released and it created a new kind of diversity in the Marvel universe that really no other movie had. Opening so many more opportunities for African Americans in the cinema industry and the movie inspired many. The way Chadwick really pursued his character  and made his role very personal to him was such a pleasure to watch for all of the fans. The reason it was loved by many was because of the amazing diversity and the plot of the whole character that no one had really seen with superhero movies.

As of the newest Black Panther film, it has also been a huge hit even without the help of Chadwick’s amazing performance. Just like the first film, it too also has a very diverse cast with mostly African American actors and Hispanic as well. So far the film itself has made $331.3 million globally through out the box office, and also has a 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie continues the “black panthers” legacy through T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), where she tries to become one just as her late brother was. Losing almost her whole family she fights her way throughout the movie to protect the people of Wakanda. The movie consists of many refrences to Chadwick and an emotional end credit scene for some viewers. The movie itself was very well written and very bittersweet for fans, and they have shown this movie had meant a lot. Most viewers were very worried about what they were going to do with the movies but once again, Marvel has yet to fail by satisfying their fans by giving them great content.
