College Football National Championship Take Down

The Georgia Bulldogs played the TCU Horned Toads for the “Natty”  or known as the College National football championship on January 9 at Englewood, California.

The TCU Horned Toads are led by Max Duggan. They are 13-1 and  9-0 in the big 12. They have a powerful offense with Kendre Miller at running back and Quentin Johnson, Gunnar Henderson, and Taye Barber at wide receiver. This powerful offense had 76 total touchdowns and 6825 yards.

On the other side of the ball the Georgia Bulldog, they were led by Stetson Bennett a quarterback who is 25 years old; the wide receiver core was Ladd McConkey, Adonai Mitchell, and Arian Smith. In the backfield, they had Kendall Milton. They had 4,127 passing yards, 829 rushing yards.

The Bulldogs were the most favored in this match up but TCU was a fan favorite, although they were also deemed the underdogs. Stetson Bennett the quarterback for Georgia is 25 years old which is the same age as Lamar Jackson and DK Metcalf who both have already played five seasons in the NFL. Even though he is an older college quarterback, he threw for 33 passing touchdowns which led them to the College Football National Championship.

At the end of the first quarter TCU was down 10 and Georgia ended the quarter without any pressure 17-7. In the second quarter Georgia held TCU to only 7 still and Georgia 21 more points to the 17. For the rest of the game TCU did not score and Georgia added 27 more points the 2nd half. The final score was 65-7 Georgia takes the national championship home.
