Varsity Football

Last Friday, Varsity football defeated El Dorado 23-20 in the first playoff round. The game was an exciting one, with the Tigers scoring a touchdown in the last minute of the game. The Tigers needed this touchdown considering they were down 20-17. They were given a second chance with their touchdown score. With 3:06 left in the game, the Tigers tried to kick a field goal to tie the game, but missed. Daniel Guerrero AKA “Speedy” scored the winning touchdown of the game. After the touchdown there was only 28 seconds left, so the Cougars didn’t have much time to respond. Many students say that the game was epic and very dramatic.

The Tigers will now be traveling to Manteca on Friday the 18th, to play the Buffaloes.  This will be the second round of the playoffs and the game time is 7 pm and is at Manteca High School. Since the game is out of town, the Tigers will need all the support they can get. Wish the boys good luck!
